2.1.1 Water and Wastewater 2.1.1.1 Perform all necessary sampling and testing of waters, stormwater and/or wastewaters according to PRT permits. 2.1.1.2 Perform sampling and testing of point and non-point discharges, surface waters, ground waters and benthic materials in support of PRT water management compliance efforts. 2.1.1.3 Complete all necessary documentation needed for PRT submittals of sampling and testing data to the appropriate regulatory agency. 2.1.1.4 Adhere to specific testing protocols related to wastewater sampling and testing as detailed in 40 CFR Part 136 and as universally applicable for each PRT location. Other sampling and testing protocols shall be based on standard regulatory citations but modified to fit PRT’s specific needs. All National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) samples shall be collected from discharges resulting from precipitation events. 2.1.2 Municipal, Residual, and Hazardous Waste 2.1.2.1 Perform all necessary sampling and testing on identified PRT waste streams in support of current disposal regimes and sites. 2.1.2.2 Perform sampling and testing of new sources or modified waste streams in support of PRT in identifying, characterizing, and disposing of waste. 2.1.2.3 Complete all necessary documentation needed for submittal of sampling and testing data to the appropriate regulatory agency. 2.1.3 Underground/Aboveground Storage Tanks Systems 2.1.3.1 Perform monthly release detection & spill prevention equipment monitoring and documentation of all PRT underground storage tanks (USTs). Currently, PRT has thirty-nine (39) USTs, and one (1) aboveground storage tank (AST) located at seven of the facilities listed under Section 3.1. Note: Of these seven facilities, four (4) of these facilities have NPDES twice monthly sampling and three (3) do not. There are no tanks at Harmar Garage. 2.1.3.2 Work includes a monthly check of all tank sensors to make sure they are operating normally. Facility Veeder- Root tank gauge monitoring consoles shall be checked to confirm this information. The check shall include logging the status of each tank in the facility logbook as well as placing a sensor function printout in each facility logbook binder. 2.1.3.3 Each facility has a single Veeder-Root tank gauge monitoring console except for South Hills Village Rail Center which has two consoles.
