The City of Pittsburgh Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the Department of Human Resources and Civil Service, is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide job analysis and comprehensive written testing services for entry-level police candidates. The goal of this RFP is to ensure a fair, valid, and legally defensible testing process that evaluates candidates’ knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to law enforcement positions. The City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police is comprised of over 900 sworn personnel. The Bureau of Police provides law enforcement and public safety services to Pittsburgh's residents and visitors. The City of Pittsburgh hires Police Officer Recruits into academy training classes ranging in size from 32 – 50 candidates.
