The Commonwealth intends, through training, outreach, and technical assistance, to maximize statewide participation in the federal E- rate Program. This will require direct services to an estimated 5,000 entities within Pennsylvania’s borders, with special emphasis placed on the approximately 780 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) (i.e., school districts, career and technical centers, charter schools, and intermediate units), and approximately 650 public libraries. The selected Offeror will also be required to work with the Commonwealth agencies to ensure that broadband-related activities, policies, and legislation are in alignment with the E-rate Program and related federal initiatives and legislation. As a representative of the Commonwealth, the selected Offeror will be expected to promote the E-rate Program and Pennsylvania’s interests on local, state, and national levels through active participation in committees, workshops, and forums related to E-rate and related initiatives.
