The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will retain an engineering firm for a project specific Open-end agreement for the services indicated below: The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will retain an engineering firm to perform preliminary and final design services for the complete replacement of overhead Bridge No. EB-511 at Milepost 272.65. This bridge carries SR 322 (US 322) over the Turnpike in Elizabeth Township, Lancaster County. Bridge No. EB-511 is a single span thru-plate girder steel bridge and is approximately 153 feet long. This bridge is to be replaced with a new bridge providing sufficient horizontal and vertical clearances to accommodate the eventual 6 lane total reconstruction of the Turnpike in this area. The firm will be required to perform engineering design tasks and services as follows but not limited to: project management, field surveys, plotting topography and cross sections, preparation of bridge replacement alternatives report, evaluation of utility conflicts and potential relocations, development of erosion and sedimentation control plans and narrative, right-of-way investigation and plans, field view meetings, environmental studies and permitting, Design Field View Submission and Type, Size, and Location Report, soil and foundation engineering reports, roadway plans, structure plans, traffic control plans and narrative, construction plans, specifications, and estimates.
