Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Philadelphia, through Philadelphia Parks & Recreation (PPR) is seeking proposals, through this Request for Proposal (RFP), from qualified environmental graphic designers and sign fabricators to design a series of signs for the City's parks and recreation system. The proposed work is divided into a series of phases. The first phase of this work, to be completed by July of 2012, includes 8 signs that will interpret the Fairmount Park Historic Houses (Park Houses) located along the Schuylkill River in East & West Fairmount Park (see map, Attachment 1). Additional design work includes producing layouts for park identification, directional (wayfinding) and regulatory signs and maps. All design work will be based on the "Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Signage & Interpretive Design Guidelines Manual" and "Direction Philadelphia in Fairmount Park" (Design Guidelines).
