DPW is interested in learning more about the use of data mining techniques to improveexisting oversight of its programs to ensure the cost effective and compliant administration ofits services to Pennsylvania s citizens. Specifically, DPW is interested in the use of datamining techniques to help detect patterns of vendor and provider non-compliance with DPWrequirements and fraud and waste of Commonwealth funds, as well as a method to help DPWimprove decisions that affect the quality of care it delivers. Through this RFI, DPW isrequesting information from interested vendors regarding current data mining, predictiveanalytics or other capabilities that are suitable for prospective or retrospective application.Respondents may be asked to perform demonstrations of their capabilities to DPW staff.
