The Borough of Canonsburg is performing several remediations of existing storm drainage infrastructure and streambank restoration along Chartiers Creek. There are four (4) project site locations throughout the banks of Chartiers Creek. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the following items of work at each project site location: 1. Location #1: Removal and replacement of an existing 12” concrete endwall, including streambank restoration with R-3 rip rap. 2. Location #2: Removal and replacement of 8 linear feet (LF) of 24” CMP storm pipe. 3. Location #3: Excavation to locate an existing approximately 18” diameter storm pipe, pipe repairs as necessary, installation of a new concrete endwall, and streambank restoration with R-3 rip rap. 4. Location #4: Place (set in place) R-3 rip rap on streambank to extent needed and as directed from bank. The bid form includes an alternate deduct to reset the existing 12” endwall and R-3 rip rap on the streambank at Location #1 should the Engineer determine that the existing endwall is in adequate condition. The scope of work is more fully described in the project specifications and on the project plans.
