Specifications include, but are not limited to:GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS • Snow plowing coverage begins when 1 inch of snow has fallen • Periodic plowing applies to storms when snow is falling 2 inches or more per-hour to open or keep open the designated areas. Periodic plowing is defined as follows: These services could be done every few hours depending on the snow/ice storm’s severity to open up those areas specified in the contract. • The contractor must be able to maintain the designated parking lots clear of snow/ice and mobilize as necessary, to ensure that parking lots area ready for use prior to 7:30am each day. • The terms “to the best of the contractor's abilities, plowing or to open up or keep clear” do not imply the contractor is expected to provide a l00% snow and or ice-free environment before, during or after a snow and or ice event. • Designated Parking areas will be opened to provide reasonable access during an ongoing storm system. De-Icing agents will be employed as reasonably needed throughout a storm system to address slippery conditions. • Contractor shall provide adequate manpower and resources to complete full clearance of snow from Included areas within 7 hours of the time in which precipitation ceases for storm accumulations under 4 inches, and no longer than one additional hour for each additional 2 inches of accumulation.
