Mattress shall be covered with 11 +/-1 oz. per square yard fire-retardant, fluid-resistant, reinforced transparent vinyl ticking to better assist in the search, detection, and identification of contraband. Vinyl shall comply with 16 CFR Part 1632 Class A and shall be reinforced with a scrim substrate consisting of 1000 denier 6 X 6 woven polyester scrim. The mattress shall have a built-in-pillow and the cover will be joined together by inverted seams. Mattress shall utilize a single lock stitch with nylon thread. Sewing shall consist of 6-8 stitches per inch on seams and end closure. Mattress insert shall utilize CR SAFGUARD® foam cushioning. A 3” thickness is recommended to provide adequate comfort, support, and durability.
