Specifications include, but are not limited to: SRU IATS would like to obtain permission to issue a 5-year sole source contract to Armstrong Utilities for the lease of dark fiber between the McKay Education Building located on the SRU campus to the Fowler Building located at 165 Elm Street. Approximately 1 mile physically separates the building locations. The dark fiber was installed several years ago by, and belongs, to Armstrong Utilities. The dark fiber is used by SRU to connect the Fowler Building to the SRU network to provide access to educational resources, telecommunication services, building HVAC controls and security services. SRU has utilized this dark fiber for many years to provide these services to the Fowler Building as part of the main campus services. It is not feasible to award this contract for supplies or services on a competitive basis. Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
