Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this project is to apply and remove pavement markings to selected streetsegments in different materials for the City of Bristol, Tennessee and the Town of Bluff City,Tennessee. This work can be broken down into the following categories:1. Application of new painted pavement markings to be installed on new pavement within24 hours of paving, weather permitting.2. Application of new hot-melt (not preformed) thermoplastic pavement markings to beinstalled on new pavement within 24 hours of paving, weather permitting.3. Application of new permanent tape pavement markings to be installed on new Portlandconcrete pavement as curing conditions permit, weather permitting (referred to as withina 24-hour period, even though curing conditions may require that time period to change).4. Application of state-approved black pavement marking material to cover existingpavement markings on asphalt within 24 hours of notification, weather permitting.5. Application of painted pavement markings over existing pavement markings("refreshing") within a six-month specified period (January 1 to June 30; July 31 toDecember 31), weather permitting.6. Application of hot-melt (not preformed) thermoplastic pavement markings over oldexisting pavement markings ("refreshing") or on old unmarked pavement within a six-month specified period (January 1 to June 30; July 1 to December 31), weatherpermitting.7. Application of new permanent tape pavement markings to be installed on existing (notnew) Portland concrete pavement within a specified six-month period (January 1 to June30; July 1 to December 31), weather permitting.8. Removal of painted, tape, or thermoplastic pavement markings within 24 hours ofnotification, weather permitting (removal may be delayed by weather if it is to bereplaced with some other type of marking).
