NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the item as specified within this announcement. The Government intends to solicit with approved sources only under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit for the procurement of: NSN 7RH 6220 016553241 P8 (LIGHT, RECOGNITION), P/N: 72500415-1, as used for the P-8 Aircraft. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 335999. The Government does not possess (or cannot provide) the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the item. This requirement can only be procured from suppliers who provide FAA-Certified parts which possess a FAA Authorized Release Certificate, FAA Form 8130-3 Airworthy Approval Tag. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. All proposals received within 5 days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All items shall be delivered with an authorized Release Certificate, FAA Form 8130-3, Airworthiness Approval Tag (reference FAA Order 8130.21G) or with acceptable FAA identifications for replacement articles described in reference FAA AC 20-62. WSS will not make any exceptions to this requirement. Responses shall be in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your business possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. All information/materials received in response to this Sources Sought Notice that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary will be fully protected from any release outside the Government. The awardee will be required to comply with contract clauses from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)/Navy Marine Corps Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NMCARS), specifically those of FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, DFARS Part 212 Acquisition of Commercial Items and NMCARS 5212 Acquisition of Commercial items.
