The Norristown Area School District is seeking an organization/individual to provide academic tutoring support for the Montgomery County Youth Center. Qualified academic tutors will provide in-person tutoring services primarily for middle and high school students, typically ages 13–17 (with occasional variance). The scope of services includes delivering structured academic support across core subject areas in a small-group or one-on-one setting. Tutoring should occur 2–3 days per week for a total of approximately 12 hours weekly, ideally in 4-hour sessions; however, tutors able to provide 2-hour sessions per day will also be considered. The majority of participating youth are in 8th through 11th grade, and the selected provider will be expected to tailor instruction to diverse learning needs, reinforce school-day learning, and help students build academic confidence and skills. Academic tutors need to be appropriately certified in the subject area in which they’re tutoring.
