Newtown Township is performing roadway rehabilitation along several Township roads. A portion of the funding for this project will be provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Municipal Liquid Fuels Program. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to: replacement of concrete curb and sidewalk, including the replacement of depressed concrete driveway aprons as directed by the Township; replacement of existing curb ramps with ADA compliant curb ramps, including new detectable warning surfaces and concrete cheek walls where required; replacement of inlet tops, frames and grates; pavement base repairs; asphalt mill and overlay construction; replacement of existing pavement markings, and all restorations required for the work listed. The work also includes mobilization, redundant maintenance and protection of traffic and erosion and sediment controls, as necessary to perform the work. The scope of the work is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein and in the Construction Details.
