A. Demolition & Site Preparation 1. Remove and dispose of all existing equipment, surfacing, footings, and edging. 2. Protect adjacent features and utilities; repair any damage at no cost to District. 3. Field-verify limits, grades, and utilities; call 811 prior to excavation. 4. Raise playground grade by approximately 1.5 feet with compacted structural fill. 5. Match finished elevations to: o Adjacent Administration Parking Lot, and o Sports Concession Stand slab. 6. Provide erosion and sediment control per local ordinance. B. Stormwater & Drainage (Design–Build by Bidder) 1. Provide engineered design connecting to existing drain. 2. Include all inlets, conveyance piping, cleanouts, and outlet structures. 3. Submit calculations and drawings verifying positive drainage. 4. Obtain permits/approvals and provide as-builts (PDF + CAD if available). 5. Adjust existing structures to match new grade elevations. C. Surfacing 1. Provide Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) surfacing meeting ASTM F1292, F1951, and F2075. 2. Include geotextile separator and stone base for drainage and ADA mobility. 3. Install to proper fall height depths (typically 12"). 4. Provide accessible routes through surfacing to inclusive play components.
