2.1. Work with the University Housing Facilities Managers in the coordination of all services. 2.2. Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to perform window cleaning services on the exterior surfaces of all University buildings. 2.3. Determine the means and methods for cleaning the building windows. 2.3.1. Window cleaning shall include all exterior window surfaces, all framework and panels, and removal of all foreign substances (including stickers and decals) on the exterior surface. 2.3.2. Windows are considered clean when all glass, frame, and sill surfaces are without streaks, film, staining, deposits, or debris, and have a uniform bright appearance. Additionally, all cobwebs need to be removed from the window, frame, and when applicable, window recesses and/or shrouds. 2.4. All services will be performed from the exterior of the building unless pre-approved by University. 2.5. Proposer must be able to clean windows for all the buildings listed in Exhibit A of this RFP. 2.6. Window cleaning can occur year-round with the schedule being agreed on in advance between the awarded proposer and University. 2.7. Work will be conducted between the hours of 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM unless approval given in advance from University. 2.8. Dates and times of service are to be coordinated with University to minimize disruption to University operations, activities, and work. Schedules shall be confirmed at least ten (10) business days in advance of services to provide time for notice to occupants. 2.8.1. University Housing Facilities Managers are responsible for alerting building and campus users when window washing is to occur. 2.9. The awarded proposer will be responsible for all safety procedures and equipment. 2.9.1. They will utilize appropriate safety barriers and processes to protect University property and campus users. 2.10. When using heavy equipment on campus landscaping, 1-inch plywood or track mats will be used to minimize the damage while the equipment is on the landscape. Examples of heavy equipment include, but are not limited to, lifts, vehicles, or scaffolding.
