Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1 Stakeholder Interviews Interview and summarize the current and anticipated future needs for upstream traffic data collection (vehicle classifications, directional count coverage, etc.) from internal and external stakeholders. (Up to 15 in person one-day interviews in Salem or Portland ODOT offices, workshop style 2-5 people) Agency will provide stakeholder list as informed by Contractor. Task 2 Evaluation of Traffic Counting Field Technology Evaluate and summarize available field technology platforms for short term, video, and continuous traffic count operations including motorized vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian counts. Task 3 Evaluation of Traffic Data Integration Opportunities Evaluate and summarize opportunities to integrate with current Agency systems and external sources to obtain traffic count data (e.g. traffic signals, intelligent transportation systems, probe data, inter-agency data sharing, etc.). Task 4 Peer Interviews Conduct current state of practice review through interviews with peer states (up to four DOTs as determined by Agency as informed by Contractor) and literature review of market (vendor product specs), academic (Academic Research, TRB, NCHRP papers) and practitioner (AASHTO, FHWA). The Agency will provide relevant survey responses from a recent state DOT survey.
