Specifications include, but are not limited to: Replace Multimode fiber with single mode fiber in all buildings in order to boost Internet Speeds to 10G - Single mode fiber would enable District to use the capacity of District switches to run 10G speed Internet within the schools. ; Interconnects to be via 6 pair (12 strand) Single Mode Fiber (SMF - OS2 LSZH) 2. Fiber to be outdoor rated 3. All Terminations to be LC Style 4. Provide and install all appropriate parts to terminate new fiber (i.e. rackmount fiber enclosure, bulk heads, etc.) 5. Consult with district contact to provide appropriate fiber slack outside and inside of fiber enclosure to ensure future serviceability (enclosure relocations and/or reterminations) 6. Install fiber in appropriate sleeve or conduit as necessary 7. Cable runs should be continuous and runs between MDFs and IDFs may not be spliced ; 1. Interconnect the existing MDF to IDF B and IDF C 2. Interconnect the existing MDF to the MDF at Duncan Elementary 3. Cable runs should be continuous and runs between Rock Creek Middle School and Duncan Elementary should not be spliced unless necessary. Runs designed or engineered as being spliced must be specifically noted for District notification and approval.
