Specifications include, but are not limited to: Lane County Training & Organizational Development is currently revamping Lane County’s new employee orientation program. A cross functional team was assembled to review and suggest modifications to the current onboarding and instructor led orientation programming. The team is exploring the feasibility of creating interactive, online training that would be hosted on the County’s existing Learning Management System. (We are not looking to change platforms so please do not address a Learning Management System in your response.) The high level requirements at this time include: Between 3-4 hours of online training modules that will by new employees be taken over the course of the employees’ first few weeks with the County. Content is not finalized however here are some sample topics that are likely to be included: o County overview – Services, departments, key services, high level budgetary information, etc. o Public Accountability o 4-5 Key policies and procedures o Introduction to resources that are available o System simulations of basic functions such as timecards, updating employee information, benefit enrollment, etc. o Potentially some sort of virtual tour of our buildings and locations. Training must be AICC Compliant and function on the County’s existing Learning Management System. Our current system tends to handle AICC compliant courses better than SCORM. Training should be interactive, allow for user driven navigation, contain audio, and assessments. Video can be included as long as it meets our bandwidth standards. An element of fun as appropriate to our culture is important as well. Graphically, the training would feature mentor characters guiding the learner through the program and be branded appropriately for Lane County.
