Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor services shall include but are not limited to: On-call asbestos abatement services as requested by Metro’s RID project manager. Asbestos shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations (29 CFR 1926) and Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) regulations (OAR 340-248) and the requirements specified in the Exhibit E, Asbestos Abatement Specifications. Contractor’s asbestos abatement services shall include but are not limited to labor, materials, personal air monitoring, ODEQ permits and notifications, transportation and disposal. It is anticipated that most of the abatement will be post demolition asbestos abatement from materials at illegal dump sites. Additional details are addressed in Exhibit B: Master Asbestos Abatement Specifications Details. Work performed under this contract is subject to prevailing wage requirements as established by the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI). Contractor will certify that they pay and comply with minimum prevailing wage requirements of ORS 279C.800-279C.870 as of July 1, 2019. Metro will notify contractor of pending asbestos abatement when suspect samples have been collected for analysis form an illegal dump site. Metro will also notify contractor if abatement services are, or are not, needed when suspect sample results are received by Metro. Contractor shall respond to requests for service within 24 hours of Metro making the request. In the event of an emergency, the contractor shall respond to Metro’s request for service within 2 hours of the request and be on site within 4 hours of the request.
