Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this solicitation is to contract with a moving firm able to provide the necessary services, within the stated timelines. The successful firm will have the capacity to accomplish the work, with the scheduling flexibility to adapt to the construction and school schedules. Work under this quote is scheduled to occur starting June 12, 2020. Moving will occur at McKay High School and include packing boxes, moving furniture (desks, book shelves, chairs, etc.) and other non-fixed items. 8 Location Name - Scope of Work To provide packing materials and all required equipment and manpower to meet the room relocation needs listed in the attached move narrative. Move consists of approximately 40 rooms; 14 offices, 17 classrooms, and 9 storage rooms. 9 Existing Conditions 1. Move Contractor is responsible for the condition of the building and contents upon start of mobilization and throughout the move. 2. Move Contractor is responsible for maintaining logs of these conditions throughout the course of the move and to sharing these logs with the District Project Manager throughout the course of the move. 3. Moving Contractor is working with furniture and equipment [FF&E] that is not new but is in serviceable order. It is the Move Contractor’s responsibility to maintain the current condition of the contents and furniture during the move. All damage found prior to move must be documented in the following manner: a. Photograph damage and provide written field report noting the item, the damage and location of origin and location of storage. b. Field report and log is to be signed by the Project Manager and Moving Contractor upon review of noted conditions of furniture and contents. 4. Moving Contractor is responsible for the condition of the building and the areas that the move is conducted. Prior to start of move all paths of travel and rooms to be vacated are to be reviewed with the Project Manager and all damage of the building is to be noted. This walk through is to be logged and signed by both the Project Manager and Moving Contractor at the end of each moving period.
