Specifications include, but are not limited to: 59.1 The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, supervision and equipment for the installation, repair, replace, patch texture, and do all necessary work to repair affected gypsum walls, lathe, plaster, and corner bead and trim. 59.2 The Contractor will complete drywall finish, repairs, and ready for interior finishing and paint as per plans and specifications provided by Washington County, including all required fire stopping and related caulking. 59.3 Walls shall have 1 layer of 5/8” Type X drywall applied to each side in fire rated area and regular drywall in Non-Fire rated areas. This is subject to change per Location as some sites are backed with plywood and some locations are in wet areas. 59.4 Drywall types that might be used are, but not limited to, Regular Drywall, Fire rated (type X), Impact resistant, Moisture resistant (Green board) and sound board 59.5 Contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of all drywall scraps and related materials at the Contractor’s expense including dumping fees. 59.6 Contractor should be knowledgeable in various textures such as, Orange peel, Knockdown, Skip Trowel texture, Hawk and trowel texture and smooth texture. 59.7 Contractor shall not install imperfect, damaged Drywall. 59.8 Contractor shall butt boards together for a light contact at edges and ends with not more than 1/16-inch open space between boards. Do not force into place. Position factory joints so that like edges join, tapered edges against tapered edges and mill cut or field cut ends against mill cut or field cut edges or ends. 59.9 Contractor to use drywall mud that is appropriate for the job and Contractor’s discretion. When using hot mud or dry mix, Contractor will make sure area is clean and dust contained in area.
