Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Oregon, acting by and through the Oregon Department of Transportation, (“Agency” or “ODOT”), is seeking a qualified vendor that demonstrates the capabilities, experience, and resources required to provide a Global Positioning System (“GPS”) Automatic Vehicle Location (“AVL”) in approximately 400 light fleet and 180 10-yard dump trucks, and a Telematics system to be deployed in approximately 113 10-yard snow plow trucks and 13 Direct Liquid Application Deicer (“DLA”) trucks, including all new 10-yard dump trucks entering ODOT’s fleet (estimated 30-40 trucks per year). Proposers are encouraged to propose a solution that not only meets the requirements but also includes any and all applicable functionality (desired options list included). All solutions will include a GPS/AVL component so this document will refer to AVL only as those vehicles in which only AVL will be installed to track vehicle location, and Telematics refers to those vehicles that will receive the Telematics system which collects data from truck sensors and the electronic spreader controller.
