Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Brush Thinning Project, approximately 38 acres located near Prospect, Oregon, in Jackson County. 1. Remove trees less than 8” DBH from under the drip line of large overstory trees. Stump height should not exceed 6”. 2. Remove poor quality trees (diseased, defective, or trees with less than 20% live crown) less than 8.0” DBH. 3. Remove white fir, lodgepole, and hemlock trees less than 8.0” DBH. 4. Thin remaining trees less than 8.0” DBH on a 25’ X 25’ average spacing. Spacing can range from 20’ – 30’ to select the best quality trees. 5. Leave 2-3 clumps per acre with 3-7 trees per clump. A clump is defined as trees less than 10’ apart. Space off outer trees of clump. Clumps will be identified by COR.
