Contractor “Dismantler” agrees to furnish dismantler services as set out below when requested to do so by the City. Dismantling services will include: • Secure Vehicle Storage – A secure storage lot for delivery and storage of vehicles pending dismantling. Lot and buildings should be equipped with security alarms and montiored by video. • Video Surveillance – Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week that is recorded, stored, and reviewable. • Remediation – Full on site remediation of biohazard materials (including, but not limited to; black and gray water tanks, hypodermic needles (sharps) biological waste), general trash, propane tanks, and vehicle fluids. • Indoor Remediation – Dismantler shall have an indoor remediation building where biohazards such as asbestos and other like hazards are remediated. • Vehicle Acceptance – Dismantler must accept any vehicle being delivered for dismantling services by an approved towing contractor under contract with the City of Salem. • Dismantling and Recycling – Whenever practical, materials from demolished vehicles should be recycled.
