2.4.1 Performance Requirements 2.4.1.1 The selected proposer shall provide regular weekly service on a specified day of the week each week following the installment date as part of the weekly rental. Weekly recurring delivery and pickup services shall occur on the established day of the week which must be between 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Every effort should be made to accommodate the department’s requested delivery date and time. 2.4.1.2 Frequency of Service may be altered as necessary to best serve the county’s business needs. If required by the county, pricing for alternate service frequencies shall be negotiated during the term of the contract. 2.4.1.3 Uniforms are to be delivered on clothes hangers and fully marked with name and/or number on each garment. The Provider shall supply an itemized list of names of all persons receiving uniform garment service, type of garment, number of charges, unit and total cost of services for each employee on a weekly basis per division. Only those items delivered may be charged for services rendered. 2.4.1.4 The Provider shall return all garments picked up for cleaning by the next scheduled delivery date. Items missing from the previous week’s pick up shall be clearly noted, recovered, and delivered to the designated location within forty-eight (48) hours. 2.4.1.5 If a holiday falls on the day of pick up or delivery, the Provider must pick up or deliver on another day and provide the county with at least two (2) weeks advance notice of the changed pick up / delivery date for that week. Marion County observes the following legal holidays: a. New Year’s Day b. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday c. President’s Day d. Memorial Day e. Juneteenth f. Independence Day g. Labor Day h. Veteran’s Day i. Thanksgiving Day j. Christmas 2.4.2 Proposal Items 2.4.2.1 Uniforms may consist of a combination of the following items: long-sleeved shirt and pants, short-sleeved shirt and pants, or fire resistant coveralls. Jackets are issued to eligible employees. County may elect to increase the number of employees receiving uniforms at any time. 2.4.2.2 For Purposes of determining Total Inventory and Delivery quantities, the specification of items is presented in 2 Categories: 1) Garments/Uniforms and 2) Non-Uniform Items. 2.4.2.3 The county is not restricted to or limited by the estimated quantities or items listed. Additional items similar in nature to those listed in Categories 1 and 2 below may be added and prices negotiated during the term of the contract. 2.4.2.4 Category 1: Garments/Uniform Items 2.4.2.4.1 Total Inventory Quantity is the weekly delivery quantity based on the number of days a uniform is required during the week, plus an additional equal stock of uniforms in transit plus two uniforms. For example, full-time employees working 5-days per week shall be issued 12 uniforms. 2.4.2.4.2 For some garments, the Total Inventory Quantity is the weekly delivery quantity for use of one garment during the entire week plus an additional equal stock of uniforms in transit. 2.4.2.4.3 Garment Acceptability 2.4.2.4.3.1 All garments shall be new (not previously worn) or like new in acceptable condition at time of issue. The normal wear and tear service life of any garment shall be no less than 12 months. 2.4.2.4.3.2 Coveralls, shirts, pants and jackets shall be either high-quality 100% cotton, or 65% polyester/ 35% cotton blend at the discretion of the user. Coveralls shall be flame resistant. 2.4.2.4.4 Replacement Costs 2.4.2.4.4.1 Replacement garments shall be equal or better quality similar to the brand name supplied or a like garment matching the contract specifications - original issue to service date to be identified on each garment. 2.4.2.4.4.2 At the end of quoted garment service life and when requested by the county, the garment shall be replaced with a new or like new in acceptable condition similar garment at no additional cost. No replacements shall occur without prior agreement by county. 2.4.2.5 Category 2: Non-Uniform Items 2.4.2.5.1 Non-Uniform items such as mats, fender covers, laundry bags, and bag frames, are based on weekly and bi-weekly use and are billed based on the specified usage intervals. Bi-weekly delivery represents a delivery and service interval occurring every other week.
