Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Consumer and Business Services (Agency), intends to purchase software maintenance for Uniface Client (concurrent user), Uniface Version Control Interface (concurrent user), and Uniface Development Suite (concurrent user). This maintenance includes upgrades, on-going maintenance, support, and new releases. Uniface software renewal, maintenance and upgrades are only available from Rocket Software, Inc. Uniface software has historically provided the Agency with a tool for the development, deployment and delivery of complex, business-critical applications. It allows developers to successfully implement these applications in the midst of business and technology change and deploy on multiple platforms in an infrastructure-independent manner. Agency has been using Uniface software for 25 years through the DAS State Data Center. Maintenance, support and upgrades are ongoing needs. This software maintenance was previously purchased by DAS State Data Center on Agency’s behalf. State Data Center had requested that Agency purchase its own maintenance beginning with the next contract term. This maintenance expired on June 30, 2020. Agency has a significant number of applications already written with Uniface products that would require extensive time and resources to convert to other applications. In addition, the current products meet DAS information security standards and processes.
