Specifications include, but are not limited to: • replacing a failing and undersized tidegate that currently limits both drainage capability and anadromous fish passage to critical over-winter refugia habitat; • reconstructing 2,562’ of an eroded and failing dike or berm; • reconstructing 3,800’ of sinuous historical tidal channels and filling in current linear, channelized “ditches”; • installing five (5) livestock and farm equipment crossings on the reconstructed channel network; • harvesting spruce trees with root-wads from the existing dike area, transporting, and installing them as large wood structures at strategic locations within the re-meandered channel network to enhance salmonid habitat and cover; • implementing a Water Management Plan.
