Contractor must have a capacity to serve approximately 30 STEP Court Participants monthly. Length of service may vary by individual participant. The length of service is determined by participants’ needs for service and duration of the identified curriculum(s). Contractor and STEP Court Team shall discuss if participants will engage in more than one curriculum. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES - Referrals: All referrals to Contractor shall be received from a STEP Court team member, most often the supervising probation officer. Intake: Unless there are issues precluding the potential client from attending (i.e. still incarcerated), Contractor shall conduct the initial meeting with client within ten days of referral. Intake information shall be uploaded to Specialty Court Management System (SCMS) and provided to the probation officer within one week of the initial meeting. STEP Court Services: Contractor should offer an established, evidence-based curriculum to STEP clients. Curriculum should include cognitive behavioral programming in both individual and group formats. Contractor should provide the PO with a copy of the recommended curriculum once it is known.
