Marion County Public Works shall be responsible for the following: • Identify and mark the installation locations with a wooden stake, white flagging and white paint. • Furnish anchor J-bolts for foundation, bolt pattern template, PELCO bases and poles. • Furnish TAPCO School Zone Flasher System, including solar panel, control cabinet, beacons, tattletail lights and mounting hardware. • Furnish S5-1 School Speed 20 Signs When Flashing and mounting hardware for round pole. • Perform beacon activation and testing in coordination with Contractor. Contractor shall be responsible for the following: • Submit a Traffic Control Plan in accordance with the Oregon Temporary Traffic Control Handbook for approval a minimum of 1 week before beginning work. No work shall begin until an approved traffic control plan is in place. • Submit and Coordinate Utility Locate Requests • Mobilization as required to complete the work. • Furnish and install concrete foundation in accordance with reference drawings and parts list below. • Furnish and install grounding rod. • Install PELCO base and pole. • Install TAPCO School Zone Flasher components including solar panel, control cabinet, and beacons. • Remove existing wood posts and S5-1a School Speed 20 – 7 am to 5 pm signs and return to County. • Install new S5-1 School Speed 20 Signs / When Flashing provided by County. • Beacon activation and testing in coordination with the County. • Submit Rebar certificates and concrete mix design for approval a minimum of 1 week before beginning work.
