Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bend is accepting sealed bids for contracted on-call snowplowing services within designated residential sections of the City for the 2013-2014 winter snow season with an option to extend for up to three years. During the course of the winter season, the Public Works Department requires snow removal services from a private contractor to supplement the work performed by the Public Works Street Department. There are seven (7) designated residential areas within the City that are the equivalent of approximately 125 lane miles of roadway. This bid represents two of the seven areas (West Central and Southeast Central) as detailed in the invitation to bid documents. The City intends to enter into an agreement with up to two qualified Contractors to ensure adequate response during heavy or extended snow events. Snowplowing will be performed on an as needed basis and will be dependent on the quantity of snowfall encountered during the season. Due to the on- call nature of the service, the City does not guarantee any quantity of work.
