This is a project for design, environmental permitting, and right of way acquisition to replace the existing bridge over Abernethy Creek on S Holly Lane on the same alignment as the existing bridge. The 100-foot long steel pony truss bridge is over 90 years old, originally built in 1933. The bridge is load restricted and has a sufficiency rating of 3.0 out of 100, includes fracture critical members, and needs to be replaced due to substantial repairs needed to the bridge’s gusset plates, steel floor beams, and the reinforced concrete deck slab. It is also a critical connection for emergency response, freight and school traffic, and for residents and businesses in the Redland Rd and Oregon City area. A&E and Related Services tasks/disciplines and deliverables include professional engineering services to provide project management, survey, environmental, cultural, historical, and archaeological studies and permitting services, stormwater and hydraulic services, geotechnical services, bridge design services, utility coordination, public outreach, and the development of both preliminary design and final PS&E (Plans, Specifications and Estimates) design for bridge replacement, roadway approach, asphalt pavement, temporary traffic control and staging, striping, stormwater facilities, limited right-of-way services and bid assistance for the Project.
