The City of Springfield is requesting proposals to develop and manage income-qualified homeownership housing on a vacant 0.25 acre R-1 zoned property, map and tax lot 17-02-33-34-00800. Resources offered through the RFP include the property and up to $100,000 in funding to be used toward the project by November 1, 2026. The City invites proposals from public entities, non-profits, and private developers, but each proposer must demonstrate (either directly or through a documented partnership) prior experience developing and successfully managing income-qualified homeownership housing. Proposals must include at least 4 dwelling units and serve households with incomes below 80% of the area median income (AMI) for a minimum of twenty years. Proposals must retain land in singular ownership upon completion of the project.
