Work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Hazardous Materials Abatement Proper removal and disposal of all asbestos-containing materials identified in: • Attachment E: Asbestos Survey Report (Interior) Attachment F: Roof Asbestos Survey Report Removal and disposal of any lead-based paint or other hazardous substances encountered during demolition or identified in: • Attachment G: Lead Report All abatement work must be performed by licensed contractors in compliance with DEQ, OSHA, and all applicable laws and regulations. Building Demolition Demolition and removal of the entire building structure, including: • Roof, walls, ceilings, floors, and all finishes • Cabinetry, lockers, furniture, equipment, and fixtures • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (MEP) Removal and proper disposal of debris at a licensed landfill or recycling facility. Contractors shall prioritize recycling and the use of facilities located within Klamath County whenever feasible. Foundation and Slab Removal Demolition and removal of all concrete foundations, slabs, and footings, unless otherwise directed by the County. Backfill of removal areas shall consist of commercial-grade ¾"–0, 1"–0, or 1½"–0 gravel, or 4"–0 pit run material, placed and compacted in maximum 12-inch lifts in accordance with County standards. Utility Work Disconnect, cap, and properly abandon all utilities (water, sewer, gas, electrical, telecom) in coordination with utility provider, and install above-ground markers identifying capped service locations as directed by the County. Site Security and Safety Provide and maintain site security during all phases of abatement and demolition, including required fencing and safety signage. Ensure public safety and control of dust, noise, and traffic per applicable regulations. Final Site Restoration Grade and stabilize the site for drainage and safety. Leave site in clean, safe condition, suitable for future County use. Care shall be taken to minimize damage or removal of asphalt areas.
