Specifications include, but are not limited to: The district is expecting 24/7 coverage. The successful Proposer will plan for this need when staffing. Overtime charges are not allowed, and Proposer shall manage staff and schedules to ensure coverage without incurring overtime. Alarm responses are part of the purchased services and the successful Proposer shall ensure that no additional charges are imposed upon the district for this service. STANDING GUARD SERVICES Standing guard services will be utilized when needed, as determined by SRMS leadership. The District will make every attempt to provide advance notice of the need for standing guard services. However, on occasion the notification will require same day service. Firearms may or may not be required for standing guard services. Standing guard services include perimeter checks and in-building surveillance. Any further directives and procedures regarding standing guards issued to the Security Contractor in the form of memos, updates, amendments, attachments or otherwise will be considered part of the procedures contained herein. All standing guards assigned to graffiti surveillance, or other posted duties inside any school, MUST sign the school’s visitor’s log. This will alert the school staff to the security officer’s presence without causing alarm. Standing guard positions will not be filled using patrols without express permission from SRMS. Patrols will only be utilized long enough to fill the standing guard position.
