Specifications include, but are not limited to: In general, the City of Eugene (City) is requesting proposals from qualified creative individuals or organizations to curate and produce the Downtown Artistic Encounters Program, which is intended to: Cultivate a variety of creative cultural practices in public spaces in the downtown core; Engage, embrace and legitimize existing street performers/creators; Develop relationships with downtown stakeholders to engage feedback and support; Foster a culture where artistic encounters catalyze other authentic expressions to take place organically; Help create a downtown environment with activations of space with artists that stimulate a sense of fun, whimsy, an expectation for the unexpected, as well as interpersonal connections and contributes to a sense of place.
