Specifications include, but are not limited to: Developing a program that provides a positive ambient cultural atmosphere that is welcoming and vibrant to a broad array of community members and artists. Recruit, book, and contract a diverse community of performing artists and musicians ensuring opportunities for performers and musicians who self-identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+; Minimum artist fee of $75 is required; Pay artists upon performance of service. Provide professional production support including, but not limited to sound support Coordinate with the City of Eugene to obtain a Downtown Activity Zone permit Develop any promotional collateral for recruitment, presentation etc. if applicable. Keep an updated calendar or schedule of events on organizational website or social media for co-marketing opportunities. Develop a reporting system to track performance measures in consultation with the Community Programs Senior Manager and Downtown Manager by first performance. Engage, embrace and legitimize existing street performers/creators through outreach and develop relationships for recruitment so as to nurture an atmosphere of inclusion. Ensure safety and security of artists and their belongings Develop relationships with downtown stakeholders, including but not limited to Downtown Eugene Merchants (DEM), Eugene Farmer’s Market, Eugene Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Eugene Incorporated (DEI), Travel Lane County, Lane Transit District, and Downtown Eugene Public Library to propose ideas, engage feedback and garner support for the program.
