Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Contractor shall provide on-call snow and/or ice removal services including but not limited to plowing, scraping, and ice melt application in District designated parking lots on an “as needed” basis. Contractor(s) shall provide all management, mobilization, tools, fuel, oil or lubricant, ice melt product, equipment, personal protective equipment, and labor at various District sites as designated by the District Maintenance Services Authorized Representative. b. Snow removal services shall be requested by District Maintenance Services. Contractor shall notify District Maintenance Services personnel upon arrival at District Facilities sites and upon completion of Snow Removal prior to departure. Contractor shall respond within two hours of notification by District Maintenance Services Authorized Representative of the need for Snow Removal Services. Contractor should take before and after photographs (cell phone pictures are adequate) of each building site and attach them with each invoice submitted. c. During lengthy or heavy snow events, it may be necessary to plow the driving lanes of these lots at times other than those shown above. At District’s discretion, the Contractor may be asked to visit sites/buildings more than once on the day of the snow/ice event to make sure the parking lots remain clear. d. Snow shall be removed from asphalt parking lots before application of ice meltproduct. e. Snow will be pushed to the perimeter of the lots in such a manner as to avoid as much as possible the obstruction of parking stalls and buss access routes. Snow will not be piled in locations where it might obstruct sidewalks, entrances, pedestrian routes, buildings, fences, or fire hydrants. If snow is to be removed from District parking lots; then it is to be disposed of according to the rules, regulations and laws of authorities having jurisdiction. f. The Contractor shall have appropriate equipment for snow removal such as compact track loaders, skid steer loaders, compact wheel loaders, small wheel loaders, or backhoe loaders available for work on this contract.
