Sunrise Water Authority (SWA) is authorized to enter into a Class Special Procurement Contract in accordance with Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 279A.065 and Sunrise Contracting and Purchasing Rules IX.C.2 for Class Special Procurements. The pump station is currently under design to rehabilitate the pump station which includes electrical improvements, installation of a generator, and replacement of the remaining original 125 HP pump and upsizing the remaining 75 HP pump to 125 HP. During the process of design, Consor (the design engineer) and Sunrise staff reviewed multiple different pump models from multiple pump manufacturers and determined that replacing these two pumps with the exact same pump (12”DOM - 7 stage) by Floway was the best fit pump for the flow and head design conditions for the Mather Road Pumpstation. SWA desires to upsize Pump #1 and replace Pump #3 with Floway 12”DOM - 7 stage pumps which are identical to the original Pump #3 that was installed in 1983.
