At the state level, the Consultant will: • Provide strategic and tactical advice on political influence, government issues, municipal priorities, and new state funding. • Advise on development of the City’s legislative agenda and supporting materials. • Identify, pursue, and help secure state, regional, and county program funding aligned to the City’s priorities. • Assist City elected and appointed officials in developing and sustaining longterm relationships with elected and appointed officials; attend meetings; prepare talking points; and provide meaningful follow-up. • Provide timely responses to City inquiries regarding legislative activities. • Coordinate and facilitate strategy calls with City staff during the Oregon Legislative session and as needed throughout the year. • Coordinate and facilitate meetings between the City Council and the City’s local legislative delegation during and between legislative sessions.
