Services provided shall include but will not be limited to: A. Pre Inspections • Collecting existing attachment heights at poles and at mid-spans. • Verify pole data (height, class, material etc.). • Record existing pole conditions at proposed attachments. • Determine make-ready requirements for new attachments. • Determine if guying is required to support new attachments. • Input data into the Pole Owner section of the Joint Use Project Spreadsheet. B. Pole Loading Analysis • EWEB shall provide conductor (size/type/tension) and pole (class/height/species) details for analysis. • Transmission poles shall be modeled in O-Calc, SpidaCalc, or PLS-CADD. For Distribution poles a spreadsheet pole loading analysis is also acceptable. EWEB can provide LiDAR for transmission lines if PLS-CADD is being used. This may not be accurate for current conditions and would need to be verified. • Transmission poles shall be modeled as NESC Grade B construction with medium district loading. Distribution poles shall be modeled as NESC Grade C construction with medium district loading, except at crossings, where distribution shall also conform to Grade B construction. • Analysis shall conform to current NESC requirements and evaluate structural loading as well as clearances. Where pole utilization exceeds 90% provide replacement recommendations for corrections (pole class/size, additional anchors/guys, etc.). • Results shall be submitted as a pdf, EWEB may request the native file format (.pplx, .spida, .xyz, etc.) C. Make-ready Requirements (if needed) • May be required to prepare construction prints. Prints to be reviewed and finalized by a EWEB staff prior to issuing. (using Designer software) • Include guying requirements. • May be required to prepare bill of materials, using EWEB Inventory Sheet, Designer software. • Determine crew type, size and estimated hours for pre-bill assessment...
