On-Call Industrial hygiene services may include, but are not limited, to the scope of projects listed below. All work shall be conducted in accordance with the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations or other applicable regulatory/industry best practices. Only American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and/or National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) accredited laboratory services shall be utilized for analysis of sampling media. Work performed under this contract may include the following types of projects: 1. Comprehensive occupational exposure sampling, monitoring, and risk assessment; conduct personnel and area monitoring for chemical hazards; evaluation of physical hazards; program design, sample analysis, and compliance sampling 2. Building assessments for hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials 3. Monitor and collect samples to ensure a safe environment for hazardous material handling, abatement, inspection, confined space entry, and various other tasks that may require health and safety guidance. 4. Indoor air quality (IAQ) services including air quality and mold investigations, silica, asbestos, CO2, and VOC monitoring, ventilation assessments, and other IAQ services. 5. Environmental field services in support of regulatory permitting and compliance programs, including drinking water sampling, radon monitoring, sampling various other media; and oversight of hazardous materials abatement, such as asbestos and lead-based paint. 6. Program safety services, including hazard assessments, site and personnel audits and inspections, safety manual/practices reviews, and other safety-related evaluations. 7. Prepare management plans and procedures for working with and around hazardous materials and protect occupants from exposure. Plans will also describe procedures for necessary inspections and ensuring that hazardous building materials are maintained in good condition. 8. Provide various employee training including hazard communication, confined space, fall protection, and other types of training.
