Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Contractor shall provide landscape and grounds maintenance services as follows: i. Weekly Services 1) Lawn Maintenance a) Lawn shall be maintained at a uniform height of no less than 2” and no more than 2.5” high. b) All mulching debris must be bagged and removed from the areas. 2) Sidewalks, Curbs, and Parking Lot Maintenance a) Sweep and blow sidewalks and parking lots, to clear debris. b) Keep sidewalks and curb areas free of weeds, moss, and other vegetation. c) Remove grass clippings, leaves and edging debris on sidewalks or other paved surfaces. d) Keep sidewalks and curb areas free of weeds and other vegetation. ii. Monthly Services 1) Weed Control a) All bed areas are to be maintained to appear neat and manicured. b) Pre and post emergent weed controls are allowed, with the pre-approval of the Contract Administrator. c) Prior to the application of turf herbicide, contractor must supply the OED Contract Administrator with the MSDS for the product to be applied. The notice will include a list of product names, expiration date and Oregon Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide Operator License number(s). d) Contractor will not overspray adjoining properties when applying pesticides, chemicals and fertilizers. Use care when applying control chemicals, so that overspray does not enter any adjoining property and exercise caution near heated sidewalks. iii. Bi-Annual Services 1) Fertilizer a) Apply granular, slow release fertilizer, per season requirements, to ensure a uniform, healthy stand of grass and color. b) All ground cover, shrubs and trees shall be fertilized, per species requirements, two times per year, April and July c) Contractor shall supply the OED Contract Administrator with the fertilizer type, brand, formulation and MSDS for each product to be used. 2) Activate, monitor and winterize the irrigation system. 3) Pruning and shearing includes all ground covers, shrubs and trees per species requirements and as necessary for proper growth, development, appearance and traffic control. 4) Remove debris from downspouts (at ground level).
