Services The Contractor shall provide the following Tissue/Histology processing services for forensic pathology office as requested by the Agency. • H&E Staining • Special Staining, including but not limited to: Acid-fast Bacillus (AFB), Colloidal Iron, Congo Red, Oil Red O (frozen tissue), Giemsa, Grocott-Gomori’s methenamine silver stain (GMS) for fungus, Gram, Luxol fast blue, Periodic acid-Schiff (PAS), PAS for fungus, Reticulin, Steiner, Toluidine Blue, Trichrome, Con Kossa, Warthin Starry, and Beta amyloid precursor protein • Immunohistochemistry • Courier and shipping service for tissue pickup and slide return to and form Medical Examiners (ME) office locations in Clackamas, Eugene, and Central Point Oregon. • Storage for at least two (2) years’ worth of the paraffin blocks created for agency for ease of requesting re-cuts. • Work with 3rd party requestors for billing and shipping slide recuts, as needed.
