The work includes installation of a new 6-inch pressure reducing valve (PRV) within a precast utility vault, along with all associated piping, fittings, and ancillary valves required for proper operation. The new vault will be connected to the existing water system through approximately 150 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main with restrained joints. The scope also includes reconfiguration of existing piping and valves in the intersection of NW 17th Street and Galveston Avenue as necessary to integrate and ensure proper operation of the new PRV. Surface restoration will include a 2-inch grind and inlay of approximately 455 square yards of asphalt pavement and any necessary curb replacement. Traffic control and erosion control are required as part of the work.
