Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Federal Government Representation Consultant will be skilled and experienced with the ability to think strategically and help develop and execute a robust and aggressive strategy to support the goals and initiatives of Multnomah County. Anticipated services could include, but are not limited to: - Professionally represent the Countys federal objectives and priorities with members of the Oregon Congressional Delegation and staff, relevant members of Congress and their staff, relevant Congressional Committees and their professional staff, the White House and relevant federal agencies - Assist in the development of an annual federal agenda and work plan - Provide progress reports on County federal priorities at least once a month or more frequently as needed - Provide weekly oral and written communications regarding current and emerging legislative issues and activities - Provide timely and accurate information on grant opportunities and other funding opportunities for County projects and services - Arrange for facilitated meetings on behalf of County representatives including Board of Commissioners with Congressional Delegation or federal entities, lead the preparation for those meetings and conduct those meetings, as appropriate
