In general, work includes, but is not restricted to, performing the following inspections and tests in listed City-owned or leased properties: • Annual physical inspection and testing as per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and State and local Fire Marshal codes of sprinklers, pipes and fittings; hangers and seismic bracing; gauges; buildings alarm devices; stand pipe testing; sprinkler obstruction testing; hydraulic nameplates; information signage; and spare sprinklers. Annual testing of 7 fire hydrants. • Semi-annual physical inspection and testing as per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and State and local Fire Marshal codes for Ansul kitchen hood fire sprinkler systems. • The five-year Fire Department Connection valve test as per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and State and local Fire Marshal codes.
