The State of Oregon, acting by and through its Department of Education, (“ODE” or “Agency”), is issuing this Request for Grant Applications (“RFA”)for the Farm-to-School Grant Program established in ORS 336.431. The Farm-to-School Grant Program provides funding to eligible entities (See section II Eligibility Information) through a competitive process to help pay the costs incurred to provide foodbased, agriculture-based or garden-based educational activities in a school district or centerbased programs for children in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (“CACFP”). See ORS 336.431(2)(c) and (5)(a). Eligible entities that receive a Farm-to-School Grant shall use the grant for costs directly associated with educational activities offered to children enrolled in either a public school or public charter school within a school district.
