This Facilities Study will inventory Willamalane’s existing facilities, examine future space requirements and resources, and develop a strategic plan for efficient space utilization within existing facilities along with needs and recommendations for expansion. This will include a focused analysis of operational needs of the Planning, Parks & Facilities Division, the programming and storage space for the Recreation Services Division, and administrative office and meeting space requirements for the district. It will also consider possible planned expansions for the aquatic facilities. The goal of the project is to: ● Understand adequacy of current space utilization and suitability of existing spaces for their intended use ● Identify gaps between current facilities and organizational needs ● Project future space needs for each department ● Identify opportunities for space optimization ● Recommend facility improvements or new facilities to meet identified needs This project will guide the district towards making the most effective and efficient facility improvements in the coming years.
