Specifications include, but are not limited to: Over the last few years, OYA has seen an increase in the complexity and mental health acuity of youth entering the close custody system. The number and severity of self-harm incidents has increased significantly, along with the number of suicide attempts and gesture behavior. OYA’s Qualified Mental Health Professional’s (“QMHP’s”) are tasked with providing mental and health treatment services to youth in OYA facilities. Portland DBT Institute, Inc’s., Dialectical Behavior Therapy (“DBT”) training will equip OYA’s QMHP’s with the skills necessary to be more efficient and effective in providing quality service to OYA’s youth, while also enforcing the agency’s commitment for their continued growth and development. Specifically, OYA intends to purchase: • Two (2) Three (3) day in-person Training’s on DBT – $25,000.00 o Training will provide instruction and practice in elements of DBT theoretical and clinical content and development of skills and practices tailored to meet the needs of OYA’s QMHP’s. • Three (3) one (1) day Virtual Training’s on DBT Skills – $15,000.00 o Training will provide instruction and practice for OYA’s QMHP’s in the application of DBT principles and protocols. It will also include guidance for drafting a provisional DBT plan. Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
